Reviews Coast Spas Discusses Trade Schools

Introduction

With the rising cost of education, Reviews Coast Spas and others are looking to alternative ways to get into the workforce. While some may argue that a college education is the only way to go, there have been many people presently that have found success in simply going to a trade school. In this article, we will discuss the advantages of attending trade school versus attending college.

Advantages

To put it simply, college is not for everyone. There are people in the world that do not wish to be a pencil pusher for the better part of 40 years and that is okay. There will always be a need for certain jobs that a machine simply cannot take the place of. Therefore, going to a good trade school to better prepare yourself for a manual job is the far better option than simply trying to go into the workforce with nothing more than a High School Diploma. Let’s take a look at some of the best reasons to attend a trade school if you don’t feel that a college is an option or desire for you.

  • No Frills, Just Skills – The biggest difference between college and trade school is the extra classes. Some people think that if you are going to be an accountant, what is the point of reading Shakespeare. Meaning, how is analyzing Macbeth going to better prepare you to crunch numbers for the rest of your life? Simply going to a trade school to learn everything there is to know about accounting would be more beneficial. You only have a limited number of hours in the day and if you are reading Romeo and Juliet, you could be reading a book on accounting. This would also allow for more in-depth knowledge before entering the workforce.
  • More Personal – In addition to being more geared to adults, trade schools often have a way to tailor your education to what you want or need to know. Therefore, if you want to be a welder, they can teach you the welding skills that you will need depending on where you want to weld.
  • Less Time – Instead of spending more than two years learning things in classes that will do little to benefit you in the workforce, you get in and get out. The trade schools only teach you the employable skills and get you out there. College can teach you a few things that may not make you employable in the long run.
  • No Waiting – When it comes to college, the classes only start at certain times of the year. With trade school, since the classes are much shorter, they are also much more frequent. So, if you decide to go to school today, you will not need to wait until next fall to start your classes.

Conclusion

Reviews Coast Spas is in no way telling people to only go to trade school. We are simply saying there is more than one way to get an education. For technical work, college is not an option. However, if you are going into a manual labour field, college seems more like a waste of time and money.
